NATIONAL HONOR SOCIETY
The National Honor Society is a nationwide organization for high school students in the United States and outlying territories, which consists of many chapters in high schools. Selection is based on four criteria: scholarship, leadership, service, and character.
STUDENT COUNCIL
The purpose of the Student Council is to represent the needs of the student body as individuals and as a group and to act as a liaison between students and faculty/administration. It also serves as the coordinator of student activities as proposed by the various student organizations.
INSCAPE LITERARY MAGAZINE
Villa Victoria Academy supports creative writing and drawing both as part of the curriculum and as important co-curricular endeavors. To that end, a collection of poems, short prose writings and illustrations by students in grades 7-12 is generated as part of the club activity.
ADVANCED MATH TEAM – THE VIL²A BE²S
The purpose of this team is to offer advanced math students the opportunity to compete against other schools in the Catholic High School Math League. Varsity team is comprised of students enrolled in 11th or 12th grade math courses. Junior Varsity team consists of students enrolled in 10th or 11th grade math courses. There are four competition dates on Wednesdays in November, December, February and March.
PUBLIC RELATIONS CLUB
Villa Victoria Academy’s Student Ambassador program is open to students in grades 7-12 who are interested in generating enthusiasm about Villa Victoria Academy among prospective families, alumnae, and current students and their families. Opportunities for Student Ambassadors include giving tours, visiting local elementary schools, attending recruitment events in the community, and hosting student visitors.
TAILWAGGERS
This is an animal lovers club that raises awareness and supplies/funds to benefit our local animal shelter, EASEL, in Ewing, New Jersey.
GLAMOUR GALS
This chapter of the national service organization provides complimentary manicures and companionship to people in assisted living facilities. The students visit Arcadia Nursing Rehabilitation Center in Hamilton, New Jersey, on a monthly basis and gain great perspective and appreciation for older individuals.
VICTORIAN YEARBOOK
For students interested computer layout design and photography to help with planning and publishing the school yearbook.
STAGE CREW
This group offers students the opportunity to be involved in building scenery for the school musical and to learn about scene design, backstage operations, and theater technology including lighting and sound.
SPRING MUSICAL
The annual musical allows participants to act, sing and dance in a professionally staged production. Auditions are required and performances are in March.
DECIBELLES
An audition only, mainly student run, competitive club for all who enjoy singing in an acapella group.
HONEY BEES/MINI BEES
An audition only extra-curricular choral group with an emphasis on Catholic liturgy and music. The Honeybees sing at all school Masses and school events.
INSTRUMENTAL ENSEMBLES
For students with mastery of an instrument to gain performance experience by playing at masses, concerts, and other events throughout the year.
